Experience technology rather than just talking about it

34 trainee polymechanics and design engineers from the Rorschach-Rheintal Vocational and Further Education Centre recently visited us.

How are individual components turned into a precision product? What technologies underpin modern manufacturing? And what does a typical working day look like in a high-tech production facility?

The students explored these questions first-hand during their visit to our company. On a tour of the production facilities, they gained an insight into our manufacturing world – from modern CNC machines to automated production processes.

The glimpse into the assembly area was particularly impressive: step by step, the visitors were able to follow how individual components are transformed into high-precision assemblies. It became clear just how much expertise, care, precision and teamwork goes into every product.

Another part of the programme took them to Zünd Systemtechnik AG. There, the future specialists gained fascinating insights into the final assembly of control systems and electronics and were able to see a high-precision cutting plotter in action.

For us, visits like these are more than just a tour of the production facilities. They enable direct encounters, genuine insights and open discussions with young people who will help shape our industry in the future. When technology is not just explained but experienced, it sparks interest, understanding and perhaps even new career prospects.
