Small but mighty. This seemed to be the motto of this year's career orientation. Compared to last year, August Manser AG welcomed a modest 10 students to this year's information afternoon.

What could be prematurely judged negatively turned out in reality to be the exact opposite. The students present were extremely interested and visibly enjoyed the familiar atmosphere that is a matter of course for August Manser AG.

After the personal welcome by the vocational trainer and the production manager, the afternoon of exploration started immediately with a presentation of the various professions:

Polymechanic (EFZ), Production Mechanic (EFZ) and Mechanical Technician (EBA). Divided into two groups, everyone left the theory behind and rushed into the place of action, the production hall. The sounds of the imposing production facilities, the many unfamiliar devices, the materials, tools and robots left the faces unmistakably astonished. During the tour, it quickly became clear to everyone that in order to learn one of the professions, qualities such as the ability to think abstractly and a high degree of concentration are indispensable. At the four different information points, supervised by specialists from August Manser AG, each of the students was also able to see that manual dexterity and logical thinking skills, as well as precise working methods, are also of enormous importance.

With a lot of newly gathered impressions and insights, the event slowly drew to a close. But before the nibbles buffet was opened, the students had the opportunity to ask the apprentices Timo, Saskia and Florian questions about their experiences in the professional world.

With culinary delights and various gifts, the event was finally declared over by the vocational trainer. We, the company August Manser AG, look back on a successful career orientation and would be pleased to welcome one or the other interested person at a taster day again.
