Insight into high-tech production: young professionals pay a visit

We recently welcomed 40 prospective polymechanics and design engineers from the Rorschach-Rheintal Vocational and Further Training Center.

The young professionals were given an exciting insight into the world of precision manufacturing and assembly. In our production department, they saw how individual parts and components are turned into high-precision assemblies - many of which are manufactured on state-of-the-art CNC machines with a high degree of automation.

In the assembly department, they were able to see live how mechanical systems are assembled into complete products. Another highlight was the visit to Zünd Systemtechnik AG, where they were able to watch the final assembly of control units and electronics and marvel at a high-precision cutting plotter in action.

The visit showed once again how important it is to get young people interested in technical professions and to introduce them to the diverse possibilities of modern production. In times of digitalization and a shortage of skilled workers, this is exactly where our industry comes in - with practical insights and direct exchange.
